About EALCJ

The European Association of Labour Court Judges was established in 1995 as an independent body committed to the promotion of information and contacts in the field of employment law and judicial practice. Membership is open to Labour Judges in all current and former Member States of the European Union and the European Economic Area.

The principal activities of the Association consist of an annual Conference, at which we discuss a topic of general interest to Labour Judges, and articulation of judicial views in relation to developing legislative and associated initiatives in the field of Labour Law.

The Association’s inaugural Conference was held in Bath, England, in 1996. Since then, annual Conferences have been held in a wide range of venues throughout Europe. The 22nd Conference entitled “Access to Justice in Labour Disputes”, took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, between 22-24 November 2018.

The next EALCJ Conference will take place in Dublin in June 2019. Full details will be posted on this web-site. Reports from past Conferences can also be accessed on this web-site.
